About Us
Krissie's Bed and Breakfast is a passion project for the mother/daughter team of Krissie and Arvita.
Meet Krissie, your hostess.
Growing up in Fiji on a farm, Krissie has a passion for cooking and gardening. When you see the front garden, you’ll see her talents on display. Roses, citrus, ferns, violets, they all come to life under her care.
Krissie emigrated to the US in the 1970s and worked as a nurse at places like UCLA and Cedars-Sinai, retiring in the 2000s. In 2014 Krissie moved up to Oakland to be with her daughter, an engineer at a medical device company. Over the next two years Krissie explored San Francisco Bay Area. On a weekend trip to the Sonoma and Lake Country area, Krissie stayed the night in Santa Rosa and was enchanted. Plans for moving to Santa started to take hold.
When not gardening or taking care of guests at the B&B, Krissie is bargain hunting (she loves garage sale-ing!), playing with Bobo (her cat), or working on new recipes. Follow our Facebook page to get information on her latest find or creation!
Meet Arvita, the business geek.
Arvita grew up in Los Angeles and relocated to the Bay Area shortly after college. She currently works in medical devices in San Francisco. Arvita handles the finance and marketing side of Krissie's B&B.
